| The
Poster Session has become an integral and extremely important part of
of the Interdepartmental Hurricane Conference (IHC). The Poster Session
at the 64th IHC will take place on Tuesday evening, March 2, 2010, from
5:45-7:45 p.m. For posters, we will be using freestanding cork display
boards, approximately 4 ft x 8 ft, and will provide pushpins to mount
poster materials. Each poster presenter will have one side of the 4 ft
x 8 ft display board in which to display their poster materials. The posters
will be set up around the perimeter of the foyer of the Oglethorpe Ballroom
in the Hilton Savannah DeSoto; the posters will get excellent visibility.
Poster presenters can begin setting up their displays on Monday afternoon,
March 1, 2010. Posters should be disassembled by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday,
March 3, 2010.
Beginning at approximately
4:45 pm on Tuesday afternoon, March 2, 2010, there will be a "1-minute
Poster Preview" period where all of the poster presenters will have
the opportunity to provide a 1-minute preview of the content of their
poster. We will identify an individual to orchestrate the 1-minute poster
previews to ensure this is accomplished in a timely manner.
- The poster preview
presentation guidelines, which includes directions for uploading your
presentation to our ftp site prior to the conference, will be emailed
to each poster participant.
- If at all possible,
we need to have your presentations by COB Wednesday, February 24, 2010.
- Our goal is to
preload them on redundant systems which will allow us to manage an extremely
tight time schedule and hopefully reduce technical difficulties.
