Wildland Fire Weather Needs Questionnaire

Welcome to the Wildland Fire Weather Needs Assessment Questionnaire web page at the Office of the Federal Coordinator for Meteorology. This questionnaire was specifically designed to capture the needs wildland fire stakeholders and decision makers have for weather, climate, and smoke information.

If you have any questions, please contact Lieutenant Colonel David Andrus at (301) 427-2002, or by email at david.andrus@noaa.gov.

Thank you for your contributions to this important effort.

Current version of the survey. If you have been contacted to complete our online Wildland Fire Weather Needs Survey, please select this link to provide us your valuable input.

More detailed information about the survey is included in the cover letter which can be obtained by selecting the “Cover letter” link below. Additionally, the “Acronyms and Definitions” link below contains acronyms and terms within the survey which may not be well known. We recommend you open this link to use as a reference as you complete the survey.

Please note: This entire survey does not need to be completed within one session. You may exit the survey and return where you left off, provided you do so from the same computer.

Earlier version of this survey. If you attended the 3rd International Fire Ecology and Management Congress in San Diego, CA (Nov 2006), a blank copy of that survey can be obtained at the Fire Weather Questionnaire link below.

More detailed information about the questionnaire is included in the cover letter which can be obtained by selecting the “Cover letter” link below. Please follow the instructions in this cover letter as you complete this questionnaire.

While we welcome your input using this earlier questionnaire, you are more than welcome to complete the newer, online survey above instead of this one if you’d prefer.
